Small Groups are the foundational organization of our church. They are essential for the ministry and mission of OBC as they provide a place for people to CONNECT with other people and with God, experience CHANGE through transformational Bible study, and CULTIVATE relationships with the lost, unchurched, and de-churched in our community.
At Ozark Baptist Church we believe that Small Groups are absolutely vital to our spiritual lives. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings in the synagogues as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to grow in fellowship with God and one-another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through Small Groups.
Our primary Small Group time is Sunday mornings @ 9:30 AM. We offer groups for all ages during this on-campus time.
We do offer other Small Groups at various times during the week. You may check our Groups List @ozarkbaptist.org.
During this Small Group Year (2020-2021) we will be focusing on 48 weeks of custom curriculum that will help Christians grow in spiritual formation and also help bring our membership together. The Covid-19 pandemic could have caused our church to grow apart and in various directions. Thank God our Father has worked mightily during these days and has actually strengthened our people.
The Custom Curriculum writers at Lifeway Christian Resources have helped us develop an Intentional Year-Long Discipleship Plan, which includes the following studies:
1-The Supremacy of the Gospel (4 Weeks)
2-The Nature of God (4 Weeks)
3-Image of God/Identity (6 Weeks)
4-Essentials Doctrines (7 Weeks)
5-Spiritual Practices (9 Weeks)
6-Biblical Community (6 Weeks)
7-Ministry and Service (6 Weeks)
8-Missional Lifesyle (3 Weeks)
9-Pray, Go, Give (3 Weeks)
